Beautiful Bay Window

I don't usually like black and white, or stripes actually, but I love the way this looks.

I feel sad that I haven't been blogging as much as I want to. I just don't have the time. I have been working super hard, learning the ropes at my new job. I am currently suffering from severe poison ivy all over my chest, neck, right hip and thigh. It's really gross and itchy. I must have gotten it when I was helping Mike cut down trees to make his dirt bike trail in his huge backyard <-- video of Mike and Kevin revving in the backyard.

It was fun! But now I must suffer.

Tomorrow I am leaving work early to drive down to Boston and see Heart and Def Leppard in concert! I will have to get up at 5 am on Friday to drive back up to Vermont in time for work. I'm cray-cray!

Newsworthy Nails

I recently left my job as a hard news journalist at TheStreet.com. [i'm sorta still there] I graduated from Emerson College in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism! I spent a great deal of my time in college learning to appreciate the development of journalism in this great world. So while journalism is slowly shifting into a digital age, I have a soft spot for newspapers. Long live print!

I am known to paint my nails some pretty cooky colors, and when I saw this picture on the Bright Bold Beautiful blog I decided that I have to try this!

The tutorial is in French, but I translated the Web page using Yahoo! Babel Fish. Basically you just paint your nails like you usually would, and when they dry you dip your fingers in alcohol. I found this tutorial to follow as well.

Oh and I found it funny that the French tutorial used an English newspaper.
