About

Hi, I’m Theresa McCabe. I live in Essex Junction, VT, only a few miles from Burlington, VT.

I am a self-employed furniture-fixer-upper! I co-own and operate the Furniture Consignment Center in Williston, VT where we strive to provide our customers with unique, functional and fashionable pieces to match their decor style.

Prior to my big break into the furniture consignment business (read all about it here) I was the wonderful Web & Social Media Specialist at Vermont Public Television, and before that I worked was the Marketing Coordinator at Wyatt Investment Research in Richmond, VT, and even before that I was a Finance Reporter at TheStreet.com!

Arts and interior design have always been strong interests of mine, and my passion for arts, crafts, food and furniture inspire me to blog daily.

I get super jazzed about with garage sales, local thrift and antique stores, DIY projects, the "free" section on Craigslist, traveling, making cards, baking, eating what I bake, sharing what I bake, distributing my handmade cards, talking, writing, tweeting, exercising, coaching basketball, singing, making mix tapes, driving, cheetah print and most of all, the PEOPLE I LOVE!

Before moving to Vermont to be with my amazing boyfriend Mike, I lived in Boston for three years in an amazing apartment at 39 Charles Street in Beacon Hill. Google Map it right now, it was so legit, except for the 3-year long mice problem.

I graduated from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. During my time in college I focused on Online Publishing and Interactive Media.

I'm obsessed with my laptop and my iPhone ... I am always connected to the Internet. Oh, and I want to write a book someday. I like pretty pastel colors and I really want a big comfy white couch to sit and read magazines while drinking a chai tea latte with almond milk... seeing as I am sugar, dairy and gluten-free, simply 'cuz it works for me!

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to connect with me on social media!
